Attorney Sheila Ridgway, the founder and leader of Ridgway Law Group, P.S., and Attorney Michael May were recently appointed to committees within the state bar. Legal professionals who are elected to state bar committees display excellence in the legal understanding of a particular field of law or practice. It is a high honor for our law firm to have not one but two state bar committee members.
Sheila Ridgway’s Committee Appointment
Attorney Ridgway was elected as a member of the Real Property Probate and Trust Executive Committee. This particular Executive Committee oversees the Real Property Probate and Trust Section of the Washington State Bar Association. It also helps probate and real estate law attorneys further their understanding of the law, passing along their improved and new knowledge to their own clients. Groups like the Executive Committee therefore play a key role in ensuring community members have access to capable and caring legal aid when they need it most.
Sheila Ridgway is an attorney with more than 30 years of legal experience. She has helped her clients through complex challenges in the litigation of probate, trust cases, and guardianship matters.
Michael May’s Committee Appointment
Attorney Michael May has been elected as a part of the editorial committee for the Real Property Probate and Trust Section. The RPPT is a section of the Washington State Bar Association that helps members of the particular area of legal practice refine their skills, understanding, and professionalism. Michael May joined Ridgway Law Group in 2011 and spent two summers as a full-time clerk at the firm. He also worked part-time for the firm while attending law school. He now focuses in the areas of probate guardianship, trust litigation, and estate litigation. He is known throughout Washington as an attorney-to-watch.
